CMMC Donates Turkeys to Local Food Banks

Connally Memorial Medical Center celebrated Thanksgiving a little early this year. CMMC’s Thirty Minute Club purchased turkeys to be given to employees as they came in to update their employment files for emergency management purposes. Every employee was given the opportunity to either take their turkey or donate their turkey to a local food bank. We are proud to announce that there were over 20 turkeys that were donated. The local food banks that received turkeys were the Poth Food Pantry, South Texas Resource & Assistance Center (STRAC), the Southerland Springs Food Pantry and Helping Hands Ministries.

The Thirty Minute Club is comprised of employees at CMMC that choose to donate 30 minutes of their pay, a pay period to a fund that is used for projects that benefit both the patients and the employees. Some of these projects consist of donating the flagpole in front of the hospital, the salad bar in the dining area and the garden area on the North side of the hospital.
