Marco Nicasio, RN, BSN, CHRN, has been named Director of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Services at Connally Memorial Medical Center. As a service of CMMC, the Wound Care Center specializes in the treatment of chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions and offers hospital-based wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

In his role as director, Marco will be responsible for all aspects of the wound care center’s operation including ensuring quality patient care, recruiting and hiring, fiscal policies, and marketing. “Many people with chronic wounds feel as if their wound will never heal,” Nicasio explained. “However, our Center has the tools, experience and resources to heal problem wounds and help people get their lives back. Part of my job is to educate the community, referring physicians and healthcare providers about the care we provide. I am excited to be a part of this outstanding team,” Nicasio added.

Nicasio has an extensive healthcare background that spans over 15 years. Most recently he served as Program Manager for Wound Care Services at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, TX.  He received a nursing diploma from the Baptist Health System School of Health Professions as well as a Bachelors of Science degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  In addition to being a certified hyperbaric registered nurse, Nicasio is also a veteran with 20 years of service in the United States Army.
