The Connally Memorial Medical Center Clinical Laboratory is a state of the art facility licensed by Certified Phlebotomists and Medical Technologists. The lab is highly automated and performs an average of 700 procedures daily while maintaining high quality and rapid results. We are fully accredited by both COLA and CLIA by operating under a Board Certified Pathologist. The lab provides outstanding customer service by collecting and performing testing on your specimens. We maintain point-of-care services to our four CMMC outlying clinic systems. Our department specializes in Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Immunoassay, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, and Virology. We also offer Drug screening & testing whether for pre-employment or for cause testing. In addition we have partnered with South Texas Blood and Tissue Center to provide Blood Bank Services to our customers.
Laboratories accredited by COLA meet federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and state regulatory requirements and are recognized by the Joint Commission.
