Curtis Grote, M.D. serves as the Medical Director for Emergency and Trauma Services at Connally Memorial Medical Center. A graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Dr. Grote came to CMMC in August of 2011. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of New Mexico Affiliated Hospitals in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

An emergency medicine physician in Texas for more than twenty years,  Dr. Grote has stretched his skills over many communities including San Marcos, Gonzales, San Antonio and Floresville. “I got into medicine because I was fascinated with the intricacies of the human body, and I’ve always had a desire to help other people,” he said.

Dr. Grote’s new passion in health care has become the practice of evidence-based medicine. “It is all about research,” Grote stated, “Instead of practicing medicine one way, because that is the way it has been done for years, I enjoy the opportunity to utilize new methods and techniques that suggests a more efficient and safe way to practice medicine with a better outcome.”

Dr. Grote, who lives in New Braunfels, looks forward to many more years of practicing in Wilson County.
