Dr. Carlos Caro, MD

CMMC Family Medicine Physician

Dr. Carlos Caro is a skilled and dedicated family medicine physician with extensive experience in urgent care, primary care, and Medicare Advantage settings. As the lead physician of a high-performing 5.7-star Medicare Advantage clinic, he oversaw a team of three mid-level providers, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence.

Dr. Caro earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2015 from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, followed by a Family Medicine Residency at UTRGV-DHR in 2019. Prior to his medical training, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology at Yale University in 2001.

With board certification in family medicine, Dr. Caro was proficient in a wide range of common office and urgent care procedures. He held certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS and had experience with electronic medical records such as eCW, Cerner, and Experity. His fluency in medical Spanish further enhanced his ability to connect with diverse patient populations.

Dr. Caro previously served as a Lead Physician at WellMed in McAllen, Texas, where he provided compassionate, patient-centered care while managing clinic operations and overseeing nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Additionally, he worked as a Locums Urgent Care Physician at CareNow Urgent Care, where he treated a high volume of patients and performed common urgent care procedures.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Caro has a deep passion for aviation, archery, literature, and travel. His commitment to service extended to his time in the U.S. Army, where he served as a Combat Medic from 2002 to 2006, further solidifying his dedication to patient care and leadership.

Dr. Caro is a proud resident of Wilson County and remains committed to serving his community with excellence in healthcare and clinical leadership.

Dr. Trini J. Garza is a highly experienced board-certified family medicine physician with a dedicated career spanning 15 years.

Dr. Garza graduated with a Doctor of Medicine Degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. He then pursued his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Via Christi in Wichita, KS. Dr. Garza’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UTRGV in Edinburg, TX.

Beyond his medical career, Dr. Garza is known for his commitment to ministry. He serves as a Minister for local United Pentecostal Churches and has extended his ministry work to Paraguay, South America.

In his leisure time, Dr. Garza enjoys quality moments with his family. They maintain an active lifestyle by exercising with their dogs, mountain biking, freshwater fishing, and target shooting.

Dr. Matt Hendley is originally from Merit, Texas where he graduated as the valedictorian of his high school class. He then completed his undergraduate education in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University in 2004. He attended medical school in San Antonio at the UT Health Science Center and completed his residency at the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program where he received training in ambulatory care, internal medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, and geriatrics with a special emphasis on wellness and continuity of care. Dr. Hendley’s specific professional interests include adolescent medicine, disease prevention, nutrition and wellness.

Dr. Hendley and his wife recently moved to La Vernia with their three children. His personal interests include camping, hunting, golf, Texas A&M football and spending time with his family.

Kristina graduated with her BSN from UT Austin, and has worked in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio since 2010. She completed her Nurse Practitioner studies at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, graduating with honors.

Mrs. Hosek resides in Wilson County, completed her clinical rotation with Dr. Ekmark, and is very excited to be able to work with the Connally Memorial Medical Center team.

Dr. Jillian Patton is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS!

Dr. Jillian Patton was born and raised a proud Texan in the Dallas & Fort Worth area with her parents and two younger sisters. After reading the book “The Hot Zone” by Richard Preston in Biology at Flower Mound High School, she had sparked interest in medicine.
Dr. Jillian Patton completed her undergraduate education in Biology Science at the University of Arkansas in 2013. Starting to learn the importance of Primary Care and Public Health through her involvement with the On-Campus Health Center, Dr. Jillian Patton’s passion for these topics continued to grow. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, completing her Doctorate in Medicine in 2017.
With her success during her Family Medicine rotation in Flower Mound, Dr. Jillian Patton was inspired by her Community Preceptor to continue Family Medicine. She completed the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Program in San Antonio in 2020.
Since Dr. Jillian Patton has much love to give, she cares for many pets, including four cats —Tiggy, Bailey, Figaro, and Ariel — and a black Labrador mix named Spencer. In her spare time, she enjoys tending to the garden, fostering kittens for San Antonio Pets Alive!, training for a 5K or half marathon, trying out a new restaurant, or cooking new recipes at home.
Dr. Jillian Pattton is excited to be a resident of Wilson County and serve patients in Wilson County and its surrounding areas.
